Telemedicine is a convenient way to visit with your health care provider using telecommunications technology. In other words, it is a “virtual” doctor visit that is conducted via live video streaming on any internet-supported device such as a personal computer, laptop, tablet, or cellphone.
The real-time video visit allows health care providers to examine, diagnose, and treat you, depending on your particular medical situation. It’s a convenient way to receive clinical services without having to appear in-person at the doctor’s office.
By logging into your online account, you can request a doctor’s appointment as well as submit information about your condition or needs. On the day and time of your telemedicine appointment, you simply log into your account, which is where you and the doctor or other health care provider will “meet” for the real-time video visit.

We offer our telemedicine services to insured as well as uninsured patients.
For patients who are insured, your telemedicine visit may be covered by your policy, depending on your particular plan. Please check with your insurance company to find out more. If your plan requires a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay it by credit card via your online account prior to the start of your telemedicine session with the doctor.
For patients who are uninsured, MDteleMe offers reasonable self-pay options. Find the telemedicine pricing package that’s right for you. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and your payment can be made via your online account prior to the start of your telemedicine session with the doctor.
Many routine and acute-care medications can be prescribed by a qualified medical professional during your telemedicine visit. However, just because a patient asks for a particular medication doesn’t mean it can be prescribed during your visit.
For example, we do not prescribe controlled substances, and any prescription must be deemed to be medically necessary by the health care provider examining you during the visit.
If you are prescribed medication during your telemedicine visit, we can send the prescription directly to your local pharmacy for fast and easy pick-up by you.
Yes. Although an MDteleMe physician can prescribe appropriate medications to treat your condition such as antibiotics, antihistamines, or maintenance medicines such as beta blockers for high blood pressure or blood sugar medications for diabetes, our physicians do not prescribe lifestyle drugs, controlled substances (those regulated by the Drug Enforcement Agency or DEA), or drugs with a potential for abuse or addiction.
